What is XSOL Automation?
XSOL Automation is a software platform that implements a company’s business processes – connecting people, systems and business activity together in highly visible, auditable and consistent process flows.
How does it work?
XSOL Automation helps organizations improve their productivity by cutting the time it takes to complete business transactions and ensuring greater consistency of outcome. It enables companies to ‘join up’ process activities; to run their business like a relay race, with process actions being passed smoothly from one person to the next.
Using XSOL Automation, organisations can create business systems directly from the processes they’ve defined. From a full business process model definition, created using XSOL Mapping, a ‘real time’ process based application can be generated within minutes.
The resulting system guides the process around the organisation - passing tasks between people, departments or organisations. Process steps can be linked to existing software applications or into new XSOL applications created using XSOL worksheets.
The status of ‘real-time’ business activity is visible at all times, exceptions can be automatically routed to whoever is responsible.
Organisations can deploy new business systems at any time by revising the model. This allows them to become more responsive to the demands of the marketplace.
Why should your company use it?
Improve productivity
Cut processing time and reduce the end-to-end elapsed time for transactions by connecting people and business activity electronically.
Ensure processes are followed
Ensure key processes run the same way each time by automating process activities.
Improve communication and efficiency
Connect everyone who plays a part in a process whether they are in the office or distributed over the internet.
Customers, Staff and Suppliers can all have access to their own ‘To Do’ list – a personalised window on actions and deadlines required to complete their portion of the process. When one stage is completed, process control is automatically passed on to the next person.
Enhance service levels
Improve adherence to service standards and delivery timeframes by automatically managing response times and escalations.
Manage by exception
Highlight key areas for management attention and resolution, see what is happening to a transaction at any time and obtain real-time reporting.
Become more responsive
Pursue a path of rapid, incremental change and business improvement by rapidly distributing new activities to staff.
Leverage existing systems
When a user actions a task, XSOL Automation can activate existing software such as an ERP module or a desktop application (Word, Spreadsheets, Databases etc) and close it when completed.
This approach allows a company's existing investment in systems and data to be carried directly into the world of process based applications.
Incremental updates
Changes in your business can be reflected directly into the process flows and transactions that run within your organisation. As your business changes over time, process maps can be updated and new XSOL Applications generated to reflect new ways of doing business.
View Business activity in ‘Real-Time'
XSOL lets authorised users see details of processes completed or in-progress. These ‘process summaries’ can be customised for each user – with information filtered, grouped and summarised to meet specific reporting requirements.
XSOL maintains details of ‘what was done’, ‘when’ and ‘by who’ for each event that takes place. Users can then ‘drill down’ into a particular Process instance to display completed stages, tasks and even the data entered at each point.
In this way, XSOL provides real-time visibility of business activity, as well as an audit trail of historic events.
