What is XSOL InOrder?
Understand, capture and define how your business operates and then automatically publish a wide range of documents with XSOL InOrder – a highly graphical, easy to use desktop software application.
Capture all levels of process information interactively using a structured business oriented process language that ensures a high quality result quickly.
All information is stored as part of a combined model allowing easy reuse of components and simple maintenance of the processes, whose documents can be regenerated anytime at a moment’s notice.
How does it work?
With XSOL InOrder, the business discovery process is revolutionised. It starts with an interactive workshop where staff explain their day to day activities.
The software’s easy to understand Enterprise System Logic (ESL) process language allows anyone to describe their actions, using simple business terms like Stage, Role and Task.
People’s thinking is mapped out whilst they watch. By following simple rules the software assists in creating accurate real-life flows and highlights missing parts of the process, making sure quality and consistency are maintained.
You can choose the level of detail to which business processes are defined: from high-level business flows down to low-level procedures and data.
At anytime XSOL InOrder can automatically generate documentation to either your Intra/Internet (HTML Webpage) or printing as a hard copy document (Word or Excel).
Once the current processes are understood the process model can be used to investigate “How could we do things better?”.
The ESL process language allows anyone to discuss process easily and uniformly throughout the business whilst the unique model structure of XSOL makes it is easy to reuse existing elements.
A range of published documents can be created, all using the same model, by filtering its content to target specified parts of the business or users.
All documents can also be customised to use different icons, sections, headers and styles, providing the ability to make unique customer specific process material.
XSOL InOrder has been successfully deployed by organisations across a wide range of industry sectors, including: Manufacturing, Distribution, Utilities, ICT, Finance, Services, Health, Retail, Education, Government and Consulting.
Why should your company use it?
Capture and share knowledge
Rapidly describe the processes, people and resources that make up a company’s business. Turn the knowledge of key staff into information that can be shared and acted upon.
Save time and money
XSOL Mapping enables business discussion, review and documentation to take place at the same time. No longer will you need to use a drawing tool for your flow charts and a separate document to annotate your processes – with a complex numbering system cross-referencing the two.
Improve processes
Analyse current business processes and identify inefficiencies in workflow and resource utilization, gaps in process flow or duplication of effort, then quickly document new work procedures. You can choose which area you wish to look at, and the level of detail that you wish to drill down to - ensuring that you get a business level view regardless of the complexity of the underlying systems.
Increase process visibility
Make sure that all staff are aware that procedures exist. Processes created using XSOL Mapping are easy to follow and can include images, sample documents and hyperlinks. Manuals can be published as help files or intranet pages for easy access.
Become more responsive
React quickly to changes in market conditions and customer demands by applying the new thinking and changing your business processes accordingly.
Empower your staff
Create a positive team environment by empowering people from all levels of the organization to engage in the mapping process and find ways to improve the way they work. Motivate individuals by helping them better understand their role in the company - job responsibilities can be validated down to an individual task level.
Publish instantly
Information can be published directly from the process map in a variety of formats including HTML, MS Word and Excel.
Business Language for Business Users
XSOL Mapping uses business process language (stages, roles and tasks) rather than technical jargon so users can accurately reflect ‘real-life’ business operations.
Share Licences
Server License Manager (SLM) automatically manages concurrent usage of two or more XSOL Mapping licenses within an organisation. Licenses can be 'checked out’ to specific users for defined periods, and then returned to the ‘pool’ once the assignment is over.
